Campaign 01 / Antisemitism
Roughly one in three American adults encountered antisemitism online last year, and the comments are where it reaches people who never went looking for it.

share of antisemitic comments under BBC, Guardian and Times of London coverage after October 7. From about 20% to 37% of all comments.
use of the “only 271,000” meme, which claims just 271,000 Jews died in the Holocaust (2022–2024). Code like “+7k” (defenders of Jews are paid) and “109 countries” (Jews deserved their expulsions) is built to slip past filters.
Antisemitic share of comments on mainstream news coverage of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, 2022: 12% of comments on UK outlets’ war coverage, 12% of comments on French outlets’ war coverage. A political assassination. Wildfires in California and Europe. A war in Ukraine. Any story will do.

Campaign 01 / Why antisemitism first
The referees have left the field. Meta: −79% hate-speech removals after its January 2025 policy change. X: −80% trust and safety engineers since 2022. YouTube: 25→50% of a “public interest” video allowed to break the rules and stay up. TikTok: hundreds of human moderators replaced by AI in 2025.
Meanwhile, antisemitism is rising, especially among the young. ADL: 6,274 U.S. antisemitic incidents in 2025, 17 a day. Blue Square Alliance: +264% jump in tracked online antisemitism in the four days after the March 2026 Iran strikes. Yale Youth Poll: 10% of voters 18–34 endorse all three antisemitic claims tested, vs. 2% of those 65+.

Not one carried a Community Note. 85.9M views of X and Instagram posts calling the foiled FlyDubai hijacking an Israeli or Jewish “false flag,” in just four days. 8.1M views of antisemitic posts in the 10 days after the Hanukkah terror attack at Bondi Beach.

Commenter: “Only 271,000 Jews died in the Holocaust. Look it up.”
Fact-based reply: “That’s a count of death certificates from a few camps, not a death toll. It leaves out the extermination camps and mass shootings. About six million Jews were murdered.” Arolsen Archives, which holds the original document: “The figures do not include the millions of Jews murdered in extermination camps.”

Commenter: “Jews control everything. Even the weather.”
Humor reply: “We’ve been praying for rain in Israel for thousands of years. If we had the remote, we’d have used it by now.”
Why it works: Ridicule shrinks the conspiracy. A laugh earns likes, and likes push the reply to the top of the thread, where everyone reads it.

The largest example: #iamhere (“I am here”) volunteers, answering hate in Facebook news comments by hand. 150,000+ members in the movement. 15+ countries with affiliated #iamhere groups. 2016: began in Sweden as #jagärhär (“I am here”).
Sweden: hate didn’t vanish, but the balance shifted, so readers stopped seeing it as the majority view. Germany: discussions under 167 news articles became more rational, civil and constructive. Randomized trial on Twitter: after an empathetic reply, posters sent about a third fewer xenophobic tweets over four weeks.
What Top Comment adds: same playbook at machine scale. We find, rank and draft replies to antisemitism.

Antisemitism is the world’s oldest form of hatred. In every age it takes a new form and finds a new medium: the pulpit, the printing press, the radio.
Today the medium is the comment section. Where social media platforms have gone silent, we will answer.
Point the engine at an issue and it becomes a campaign.
